Good evening all

I would like to start with a thank you for the invite to participate on this site. I have spent the last day or so reading through a fair bit of it and it seems to have a very relaxed and somewhat aged feel about it.

Like many others on this site I am very jealous of my privacy and tend not to be particularly open about myself but I see the common thread in here seems to be that information is shared and respected so when in Rome.

To the introductions, my name is Mathew I am married and have been for about five years. This is my first wife but I had been in a couple of nightmarish relationships prior to being married, with the last one going about 8 years before it disintegrated. We have no children and little prospect of having them, the upside of that being I get to be with my best friend for as long as she will have me without having to share.

I am currently a finance manager in a government department that tries to save the environment on one hand and then tries to burn it down on the other. I have worked for this department for about 18mths and prior to that I was an accountant in the Ambulance service.

I live in Melbourne, Australia in a small townhouse while my wife decides where we are going to move next, we have ben together 7 years and we have moved 8 times, she is currently tossing up between Sydney and London.

My interests are reading, family and friends, occasionally video games, holidays, good food, good grog and good company. I spend a little time on the internet but that is currently restricted to two sites this one and the other one. I really like the feel of this place, and was able to recognise most of the names from that other place, hopefully I will be able to hang out a bit and where I can, add and where I can't I will just sit back and read and laugh with you, or at you.

I only have one question: what the hell is grog?

She was studying for the first couple of years and now she is working as a lawyer. Started in a country practice and has moved to the bigger firms in Melbourne. I think she has a short attention span and likes bright and shiny new things.
